The Emir of Qatar and his wife are on a state visit to Britain with a ceremony full of pomp and pageantry amid the regal splendor of Windsor Castle. The oil and gas-rich Gulf emirate has a growing influence in Britain and has seen some high profile developments in recent years including the acquisition of the world famous Harrods store for a reported £1.5billion in May.
